In continuation of its effort to provide, ICT awareness in Nigeria, the Centre for Information Technology and Development, (CITAD) Kano has conducted an ICT Career lecture at Government Deaf (Special), School Nguru Road, Hadejia, Jigawa State on Wednesday, 8^th June 2011 at the school premises. The career lecture was the first to take place in Jigawa State this year and the first of its kind in (Special) Secondary Schools. The Principal of the Mallam Ibrahim Muhammad (Deaf Adviser to the Jigawa Governor) and eleven other teaching staff of the school attended the lecture.

The Center for Information and Development {CITAD}, Kano conducted a one day career talk at Junior Secondary School Tamburawar Yan Daudu in Warawa Local Government, Kano State on Tuesday 7^th June 2011. The career lecture was the first to take place in Kano State this year. Malam Ahmad Yakasai of CITAD delivered the lecture at the school compound. The principal, Malam Rabi’u Bala Yankatsari, seven teaching staff and one hundred and twenty seven students attended the event. Mal Ahmad explained in detail the uses and significance of computers especially in our modern society, emphasizing that each and every one of the students must learn how to operate and use the computer. He therefore urged them to get enrolled actively into ICT knowledge seeking.
